FAQ's
How often should knives be sharpened?
What can be sharpened?
We sharpen all kitchen cutlery, pocket knives, outdoor knives, hunting/skinning knives, we will sharpen serrated knives, and even ceramic cutlery. We also can fix broken tips and chipped edges. We sharpen hair shears, sewing shears, razors, swords, and tweezers.
How can knives be transported or shipped for sharpening?
Customers to ship their knives, or bring them in person. The best practice for transport is knife guards, or folding and taping cardboard to form individual blade guards, this prevents blades from hitting together and causing chips. Knives should be wrapped in packing material, such as bubble wrap, newspaper, or cardboard, to prevent them from moving around in the box and puncturing the sides.
How much does sharpening cost?
Sharpening fees vary on size and condition, basic Kitchen knives are betweeen $6-$10. See flyer below for more info and please feel free to call, text, or email for more information.
How long does sharpening take?
We do all our sharpening on- site, but time will depend on number of items, current workload, and type of sharpening we are doing. We can at times get sharpening done while you wait, in general we try to have everything completed over night if doing it while you wait is not possible. Same with sharpening sent in, on arrival we will sharpen it and get it shipped back out within 24 hours.
