The Magic 2 Whiskers is a very unique and special hidden release auto.  The hidden scale release is only one thing that makes this awesome, the knife itself has very comfortable grip, great ergos, aluminium handles, deep carry clip, and a very functional and slicey edge.  It's so amusing to had this to someone and see them attempt to open it every way but the correct one.  Protech hasn't done a run of these in a few years, and due to them taking a lot more assembly time then some of the other knives they make they are definitely more rare.  If you enjoy collecting cool and unusual things, maybe it's time to get a little Magic 2 in your pocket.

Pro-Tech and Mike "Whiskers" Allen have been friends for over 20 years. Back before the Pro-Tech days when Dave used to buy and sell a lot of custom knives, many a Whiskers custom autos did he sell. It's great that all these many years later they are able to offer this fantastic Pro-Tech/Whiskers collaboration knife! Upon first glance, there is nothing about the BR-1 to make you suspect it's an auto (no button of course). In our experience, 9 out of 10 people that you hand it to will NOT be able to open it until you show them where the trick spot is. The bolster slides upward and this very deliberate movement is what fires the blade open and also unlocks it from the open position. The Magic BR-1 is a fantastic addition to Protech lineup - the moment you handle one you will see why it's a great selling knife!
